The ALEXANDER consortium gathered in Genk on June 21, 2024 for a morning full of inspiring presentations followed by discussions. All partners were present and contributed to the presentations and discussions.
The work on ‘TSO-DSO coordination for procurement and activation of system services’ is still ongoing, but our work on Embedding operating envelopes in the market design to unlock the flexibility potential of distribution grids has been presented at the CIRED 2024 conference, during the next weeks the conference paper will be made available and more work on prequalification will be published in the coming weeks. You will find it on this website once it is available.
Also, the works on ‘Identification of low-voltage users' preferences & decision-making processes in the context of investment in distribution-level resources and provision of flexibility for system services’ is ongoing. The first ALEXANDER paper published describes a novel energy sharing mechanism for a centralized energy community (link), more publications on users’ preference are coming.
Ideas for news events and upcoming exchanges were shared, as always, the meeting was too short to face all challenges and the discussions were continued during lunch.
