The first ALEXANDER research stay at TU Munich

Jamal Faraji, PhD student at UMONS, is currently on a research stay as a visiting researcher in Munich. The three-month research stay began at TU Munich on May 1, 2024 and will continue until July 31, 2024.

During this period, Jamal’s primary focus will be on developing a novel and comprehensive framework for the effective and cost-efficient participation of renewable energy communities in local energy and flexibility markets. This work is directly relevant to Alexander WP4 on implications for the Belgian system.

Jamal: “The research team at the Professorship of Energy Management Technologies has been concentrating on flexibility provision and the estimation of low-voltage (LV) users in local energy and flexibility markets over recent years. This expertise makes the team an ideal collaborator for my research endeavors. The synergy between my work and the team's ongoing projects promises to yield significant advancements in the field. "
